Learning is one specific term that has always been substituted with cramming. Segregation of students take place solely on the basis of grades. But the irony surrounding all such 'sensitive and worth addressing' issues is that reforms hardly face into these dimensions. All you get, after waiting for a decade for corrective measures, is a film like "3 Idiots".
The film touches the chord with every section of society (especially the youths), churns out quanta of profit and finally phase out after sometime. At the end of the day, we are left battling the same system without having even a 'quark bit of change' in it.
Most of the time, I keep on wondering why is there such a huge gap between the quality of graduates being produced throughout the country and the industry requirements. Once I read a newspaper article that was compiled using the statistical data record of the NASSCOM, providing the figure of employable graduates from technical and non-technical backgrounds.
It stated- "out of the total technical graduates being produced in an year, only 10-15% are employable with the figure falling even more shallow to 5-8% for those hailing from non-technical background".
Don't you think its quite a startling fact? Is it going to do any good to quench the thirst of skilled man-power which an economically growing giant like India requires? There need to be some changes, especially in education system, where there is ample room for it. Becoming a jobless graduate will only add on to the rising problem of the world, i.e., the possible threat of "academic inflation". So, is this how we will challenge the world of being a power enough in the near future? Atleast, I beg to differ in this case. The future position of our country depend on the youths. As the matter of fact, for any country it's the same, be it a developing nation or a developed nation.
India is poised fantastically to look at the world 'eye in eye' and ditch its tag of being "a third world nation". Hope the 'much anticipated' changes in every sector, especially education, sets in before there is irrepairable damage done to it.
Regards.

The process of learning and constraints of life-(Part 1)
What exactly is the definition of life? And what precisely is the best way to live a life? These are the two questions that generally keep on pinning us all every now and then.
As far as the answers to these questions are concerned, there can be many. Every individual has got a different perspective of viewing life but they can all be interpreted to reach on to a unanimous conclusion, i.e., life is meant to conquer all that comes into way and the best way to live life is to follow one's own heart.
But how many of us get a chance to really live a life? Here, this question is worth being asked to our own selves. We throw our lives into jeopardy even though we know all the basics of living a life. Why is it so?
We know what all we need to pass through any hurdle is the possession of confidence of being able to do so. It's the primary requirement to accomplish something. Then why can't we just instill that confidence into us? We know that our confidence level is inversely proportional to the confidence level of our opponent. Then how come is it possible that we can't capitalize? Here, we do have a solution to our problem right in front of us, but we just can't get on to it.
Why in the life are we made to study what others have already discovered? Don't you think if one is creative enough then he/she can manage without going through these cliche of sequences?
The process that one would undertake to find a valid reason for the happening of an event in a specified manner is termed as the process of learning not the one which we practice. Nobody taught Newton about the concept of gravity when he was sitting beneath that apple tree! It was mere a thought of 'why and how' that prompted him to investigate the matter. That is what we call learning. Learning is not something of the type of mugging, it's something that makes you lose your own self into deep genuine thoughts of finding a reason for an event.
But not being a stereotype can again lend your life in trouble if you don't have apt backing behind you. The simple solution to all above glitch about the process of learning is to follow in on the already travelled paths. Since most of us still fail to do that, that's why life is often termed as "the mystery of solutions".
This is the conclusion of the first part of this write up which housed the introduction section. In the next part, I'll try to puke in over the page some more confusions that infest me and my life which are mainly related to education system, conservative family brought up and many more such unaddressed issues existing in this country.
CLARIFICATION NOTE- These thoughts hit my mind way way before the release of TZP and 3Idiots. So don't think of this as its copy.
Regards.
